About your Host

Doreen Scrofano has been offering homestay for over 20 years. My Sweet Homestay allows her to meet wonderful people from all over the world and she has welcomed students from 21 countries so far.

Retired, after working 27 years in the retail food industry, Doreen has the opportunity to provide generous amounts of time, whether it be for a homework question or just pleasant conversation in English.

Born and raised Toronto, she can recommend exciting things for you to see and do in Toronto so you can a fully experience our Canadian lifestyle.

English is her only language but with an Italian background she has inherited the essence for cooking and the talent for sewing. In the summer, you can enjoy fresh vegetables from her garden added to the menu. Meals in the evenings are spent together with conversation.

Her home is located in a quiet and friendly east end neighbourhood of Toronto.
